MHP Staff & Board
MHP works with communities to create innovative policy and financing solutions that provide affordable homes and better lives for the people of Massachusetts. We do this in four main ways:
Provide support, training, and technical assistance to help communities and housing authorities.
Use bank lines of credit and other capital sources to provide long-term financing for affordable rental housing.
Partner with over 40 lenders to offer the ONE Mortgage Program for first-time homebuyers.
Provide data, research, and easy-to-use tools to better inform local and state leaders about housing needs and solutions.
MHP is governed by a seven-member board of directors. Two are appointed by the governor, two are cabinet secretaries or their designates and three are nominated by the Massachusetts Bankers Association.
